Homeopathic Remedies for the Birth Bag
Patty Brennan
This pocket-sized book has been Courtney’s go-to reference for using homeopathy in birth. This is the ideal book for doulas, midwives and other birth companions, as it is short and to the point and easy to reference on the spot during birth.
It offers a basic introduction to homeopathy and case-taking, a Materia Medica on the top remedies used in birth, many of which are contained in our Homeomama Kit. It also has tissue salt recommendations for pregnancy and a repertory of common birth symptoms.
Homeopathy for Pregnancy, Birth, and Your Baby’s First Year
Miranda Castro
This book goes beyond the basics and makes an excellent reference for new parents. It contains an explanation of homeopathic principles, basic prescribing information and case-taking templates. The chapters cover preparing for pregnancy, pregnancy, birth and postpartum in-depth. The postpartum chapter focuses on common ailments of new moms and babies. Finally, there are nearly ten pages of Materia Medica and Repertory.
This is Courtney’s absolute favorite resource for new mothers who want to get started using homeopathy and serves as an excellent reference. In full, there’s over 300 pages of information in this book.
Matridonal Remedies of the Humanum Family
Melissa Anana
Another great book for anyone interested in learning more about Matridonal Remedies. They are the substance of our creation, made from Sarcodes. Matridonal remedies are made from the tissues involved in gestation, pregnancy and birth, including Placenta, Umbiblical Cord, Vernix, Amniotic fluid and more. These are universal remedies and can be used in different ways when working with a homeopath. Cilla was a big fan of these remedies, and she offered several talks covering the different Matridonal Remedies in this book.
Gifts from the Earth: Gemstone Remedies in Homeopathy
Giovanna Franklin
One of the distinguishing characteristics of homeopathy is that it is a natural medicine that uses minerals, unlike herbalism, a natural medicine which focuses on plants. Precious gems and crystals are beautiful and well-known for their use for esoteric healing, but this book explains how they can be used homeopathically as powerful healing tools. This book contains clinical evidence, studies, and an overview of twelve gemstone remedies only recently added to the Materia Medica.

Desktop Companion
Robert Morrison, MD
This is another “must have” for any home collection. This covers a range of ailments, and has chapters on: Head & Neck, Chest, Digestion, Urogenital, Musculoskeletal, Injuries, Skin Diseases and more.
